There are three possible outcomes in this matter, listed from best possible to worst case scenario:
1. NT Hydro withdraws from the project.
2. FERC denies licensure.
3. NT Hydro is granted a federal energy license and begins construction.
Protecting the Summer Lake valley from NT Hydro’s ill conceived energy project is our ultimate goal. With five minutes of your time we can accomplish that goal. Here is the plan of battle. |
1. NT Hydro Withdraws
Write a letter, e-mail or telephone NT Hydro directly. Let them know how you feel about their plans for Summer Lake and ask them to withdraw. Be civil. |

2. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission denies licensure
Part of the preliminary permit process involves public hearings and an additional period for public comments. We would like to have as many motivated citizens attend a public hearing as possible. The right to peaceful assembly and protest will be exercised. Demonstrations by groups of cattlemen, environmentalists, sportsmen, conservationists, wildflower enthusiasts, birders, tribal members and unhappy landowners will take place periodically with media in attendance.
